Attorney Stacy A. Vogeltanz

Attorney Stacy A. Vogeltanz is a proud Wisconsin native. She grew up on a dairy farm in northern Wisconsin, and knows, personally, how important it can be to preserve the family’s hard-earned assets for the next generation.

Stacy received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.A. 2007). She graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2010 and has been licensed in the state of Wisconsin since 2011. Her career began as an attorney at the Wisconsin Supreme Court Office of Lawyer Regulation investigating lawyer misconduct and violations of ethics rules. Stacy then spent several years helping Social Security Disability applicants obtain the benefits they deserved.

Since 2015, Stacy has focused exclusively on Estate Planning and Elder Law. As the founding attorney of Vogeltanz Legal, LLC, Stacy counsels clients throughout Southeast Wisconsin on estate planning (wills, trusts, Power of Attorneys), elder law, Medicaid planning, Special Needs planning, probate, and trust administration.

Stacy believes sharing her knowledge in these areas is extremely important. She has provided education to community members and professional associations alike. Presentations include “The ABCs of Medicaid,” “Wills vs. Trusts,” “Estate Planning Basics,” “Non-Taxes Uses for Trusts,” and “Estate Planning for Special Needs.”

Stacy is an active participant in several professional organizations to further enhance her expertise. She is the past president of the Wisconsin Council of Estate Planning Attorneys. She is an active member of National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the Wisconsin State Bar Elder Law Section, and EPICOR.

Stacy enjoys training her dog, raising her backyard chickens, and spending time with her partner and daughter in her free time.
